Sick but unmissable last stand

Frankie Boyle, Manchester Apollo
IF easily offended, stay away. The former star of “Mock The Week” makes no apologies for his crass sense of humour and the 4,000 strong Apollo crowd loved every minute of it.
No celebrity was safe from the bearded Scot’s bile, with Wayne Rooney, Jordan, Kerry Katona and Susan Boyle suffering the worst fate.
While I adore Frankie’s ability to make a joke out of some of the most horrendous of situations, it was clear that some of the crowd thought he had overstepped the mark on several occasions.
But Frankie has never denied the fact that he has a sick mind and the first date of his five-night sell-out stint in Manchester did exactly what it said on the tin.
He called the tour “I Would Happily Punch Every One Of You In The Face” and he truly acts as though he hates everyone and everything.
Most of his subject matter is unprintable but safer one-liners about how the audience recruiters for Jeremy Kyle seem to simply shoot a tranquilliser dart into Primark had everyone roaring.
According to media reports, this is Frankie’s last ever stand up tour and my advice to anyone who appreciates a sick joke or two is to beg, steal or borrow a ticket — it’s certainly a show not to be missed.
