BEATS: THEY may have failed to win the “X Factor” but coming second has done no harm to pop heart throbs JLS.
Tickets for their first arena tour sold out within 24 hours with websites crashing under the demand from fans.
Marvin, Aston, JB and Oritse made their name on the ITV talent show in finishing as runners up to Alexandra Burke in 2008.
Four of their singles, “Beat Again”, “Everybody in Love”, “The Club is Alive” and “Love You More”, stormed to the top of the charts, as did their debut album and follow up “Outta This World”, released last month, which have sold a combined total of 1.3 million worldwide. The lads have won various awards, including MOBOs for Best Newcomer and Best Song and BRITs for British Breakthrough and British Single.
Catch them doing what they do best at the Manchester Arena on Thursday.
