THE sound of thousands of women swooning will be heard in Manchester as Irish boy band Westlife come to town for a two-night stint at the Manchester Arena, tonight and tomorrow
The quartet — Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily — is the only act in British history to have their first seven singles go straight to number one.
To date they’ve had 14 number one singles, the third-highest in UK history, tying with Cliff Richard and trailing behind only Elvis Presley and the Beatles.
The lads have sold more than 46 million records worldwide and they’ve sold out arenas all over the world.
