Jerry Seinfield, Manchester Arena
American comedian Jerry Seinfeld shared his pearls of wisdom with a packed Manchester Arena on one of his rare visits to the UK.

Seinfeld, the star of the hugely popular, US TV show of the same name, was on stage for only 90 minutes.

Tickets for the sold-out event were £45 each, so the show costs 50p a minute — but I certainly didn’t hear anyone complain.

The 58 year old shared his observations on married life, fatherhood, and energy drinks as well as explaining why golf is such a pointless activity.

Dressed in a smart tuxedo, Seinfeld took regular sips from a bottle of water and delivered his show with no frills or fuss.

The father-of-three had the 16,000-strong crowd in stitches with his views on marriage, explaining how men go through several tones of voice as they get more and more comfortable with their spouse.

He also drew huge laughs with his theories on the way household items go through several stages of “garbage-ification”, moving from kitchen counter top, to cupboard to garage before ending their life on eBay.

Seinfeld’s TV show, which ran from 1989 to 1998, earned the cast worldwide fame. But Jerry has achieved the greatest success — and on this showing, you can see why.
