A blast to relive the past

The Big Reunion, MEN Arena
The MEN Arena was packed with nostalgia and childhood memories on Saturday night as thousands relived their youth.
The Big Reunion TV series has reawakened a love of cheesy Nineties pop - mine included - and the show was everything it promised to be: fun, flirty and a flashback.
The six bands – 5ive (or is it 4our these days?), 911, Honeyz, Liberty X, B*Witched and Atomic Kitten – performed their most popular hits, complete with dance routines.
There wasn’t a lip-sync in sight, proving sometimes the oldies are the best.
Some will say this is money grabbing from a bunch of has-beens, but no one can deny the months of dedication, practice and stress that will have been put into making this tour as successful as it is, with sell-out crowds across the country.
If I had one complaint, it would be that, for me, there wasn’t enough 5ive and there was too much of Honeyz. Many would no doubt disagree.
I’m already excited about the next Big Reunion, maybe in about 10 years, and the bands that will be playing then. I’m imagining a middle-aged JLS, One Direction and Little Mix.
Can’t Wait.
