Bond fans in 007 heaven

THE Halle Orchestra joined forces with singers Mary Carewe and Matthew Ford to issue an invitation to An Evening With James Bond.
The tribute spanned 50 years of Bond music - giving Mary and Matt the chance to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Shirley Bassey (Goldfinger), Tom Jones (Thunderball), Matt Munro (From Russia With Love) and Adele (Skyfall).
Pulled together by the charismatic Bury-born conductor, Stephen Bell, Saturday’s concert was a highlight in the Halle’s Christmas programme.
It showcased not only some of the iconic, signature tunes from the world of Bond, but gave the Halle the chance to show off its pops chops.
A fantastic night from a faultless orchestra and guests.
