Employment law professional Peter Norbury joins North Ainley Solicitors

North Ainley, one of Oldham’s longest-established independent law firms, has announced that Peter Norbury has joined the team as an Employment Law Consultant.

Peter has specialised in employment law for over 30 years and is recognised as one of the UK’s leading employment lawyers by Chambers & Partners.

He has previously acted for a vast range of clients including FTSE100 PLCs, start-up businesses, institutions and private clients.

Peter attended Manchester Grammar School and took his law degree at the University of Sheffield.

He was a partner in the Eversheds Manchester office for over 30 years.

Although he has spent the majority of his working life in Manchester city centre, Peter has lived in the Oldham area since the mid 1980s.

In over 30 years in practice, Peter has experience dealing with redundancies; restructuring; TUPE transfers; Industrial Relations issues and difficult tribunals.

He has also successfully represented individuals seeking to protect their rights.

North Ainley say local businesses across North Manchester can now access top level employment law advice without the need to go to city centre firms.

Peter can advise on all aspects of employment law locally.

Peter told Oldham Business Edge: “It is more important than ever for local businesses to be able to access the best support and advice.

"I am a problem solver and focused on getting the best outcome for my clients.

"Having lived in the Oldham area for many years I know North Ainley well.

"They always put the client first whilst focusing on the highest levels of service which is what sets them apart.”

Senior Partner John Ainley says Peter joining the firm is something that has been talked about for some time.

“Finally, we get one of the UK’s leading lawyers to support businesses across Oldham, and in the adjoining towns, to give them exactly what they need – accessible expertise and cost-effective advice," he said.

“Peter will most certainly add to our outstanding reputation for supporting North West businesses with straightforward, clear and honest advice on property development matters, commercial and corporate issues, litigation, and employment law matters.”
