Are you sitting comfortably? Professional Oldham would like to invite businesses to Dr Kershaw’s new Furniture Hub store for a relaxing networking event.

Date published: 26 May 2022

After scaling the heights at their last event at Oldham’s newest leisure attraction Summit Up, the team would like to invite businesses to meet, mingle and network in the new store on Thursday 23rd June.

Rebecca Bentham, Director of Income Development and Marketing at the Hospice says the new store that opened in November 2021 has been a welcome addition to the organisation's three hospice shops.

Rebecca added "The Furniture Hub is part of Dr Kershaw’s expansion plans to open up a broader range of stores across Oldham. The support from our volunteers is essential, as is the kindness of the community who have enabled our plans to become a reality."

“If you are able to donate your old furniture, the Hospice can arrange collection and will sell the furniture to generate funds to support patient care.”

The new Furniture Hub is located five minutes from the Hospice in Neo House, Shaw Road. The shop also features a coffee area serving hot drinks and snacks.

Member of the Professional Oldham organisation team, Suzanne Wright added: “Our informal events held every three months and held in different locations every time allow companies a platform to showcase their industry or services.”

“The purpose of the group is to introduce local businesses to each other in an informal no-pressure environment and to grow business contacts and local knowledge and share experiences, strengthen, and evolve.”

Professional Oldham is a not-for-profit group with a steering committee of volunteers from local businesses. For every ticket purchased, a donation is made to the Hospice to provide patient care.
