Oldham speedster Chris Loder was out testing at Silverstone at the weekend as he prepared for his first-ever motor racing event and the start of what could prove to be an exciting racing career.

During the week, Loder is a well-respected driving instructor working for the Latics Driving Training organisation.

However, at the weekend, he enters the competitive world of motor racing.

Set to compete in his Ford Fiesta Zetec in the intense BRSCC Ford Fiesta Championship, Loder is looking to impress from the outset in his first races soon at Silverstone.

In preparation for his adventure, Loder was out testing at the Northampton race track under the watchful eye of team manager, David Ellesley.

Competing on an arrive and drive basis, the Fiesta is meticulously prepared by David’s racing organisation, Race Car Consultants.

During a full day of testing, Loder put in a great showing, improving on every lap he did around the international circuit.

After a great test day, Loder feels ready to enter the racing world with confidence.

With a 20-minute qualifying period and three races within his first motor racing weekend, Loder is going to have an eventful, challenging but action-packed time.
