Crompton House girls through to National finals

Crompton House’s Year 8’s have put together an incredible run of form which has seen them win eight games in a row, only conceding once in the process, to progress through the rounds and secure their place in the final.

Having only been going a few years, the success marks the first girls’ team in Oldham to make it through to the final of a national competition.

Crompton House 7 – 1 St Matthews (Manchester)

Wright Robinson (Manchester) 0-3 Crompton House

Round 3

Ryburn Valley (Calderdale) 0 -1 Crompton House

Round 4

Faillibroome Academy (Macclesfield) 0 – 1 Crompton House

Round 5

Crompton House 1 – 0 Archbishop Temple

Round 6

St Marys Catholic College (Hull) 0 – 0 Crompton House (won 3-0 on pens)

Quarter Final

Crompton House 3 – 0 Aylseford High School (Warwickshire)

Semi Final

Crompton House 2 – 0 All Saints Catholic School

A total of 404 teams entered the competition with Crompton House becoming one of only two teams who have ever made the final from Greater Manchester.
