Blue Coat’s under-16 netball team
Blue Coat’s under-16 netball team travelled to Hertfordshire for the National Schools’ Netball Finals at Stanborough School, and returned home with bronze medals thanks to some terrific performances.
Eighteen teams across the country took part in this prestigious competition.
Blue Coat made it through the first round of seven games undefeated.
The team were knocked out in the semi-finals, but they rallied and dug deep in the third place play-off to come out with a 19-10 victory, finishing the overall competition as bronze medallists.
PE teacher Miss Curley said: "Whilst this is not the colour we were hoping for it is an amazing achievement and one that everyone involved; players, parents and school, are incredibly proud of.
"We intend to go back next year and do even better."
