Oldham RUFC Ladies beat Rochdale in their opening game of the season.
After a setback from Rochdale scoring first, Oldham dug deep to start dominating the loose play.
With uncontested scrums, Oldham's forwards had to work harder in the loose to dominate the opposition, with both sides playing a competitive game.
Captain Emma Procter led from the front, taking the game into the heart of Rochdale's defence, leading to tries from Megan Farnhill, Megan Hobin, Emma Wall and Procter.
Emma Wall converted well which helped with the final result.
Emma Redfearm had a great game in attack and defence, alongside Ellie Pollitt and Holly Edwards, who made their debut and proved their worth within the team.
Oldham did withstand a Rochdale onslaught on numerous occasions, but stood strong.
The team defended well, often turning defence into attack.
Abbie Grant ran well from defence, as did Sophie Wright, Claire Mcdonald and Jess Wright.
Special mention to Holly Edwards, who is now leaving the team to join the Navy and serve her country.
