Emmaus Mossley links up with internet giants Google

The Google Digital Garage bus will head to Mossley next month

Homelessness charity Emmaus Mossley has announced a new partnership with Google as part of the Google Digital Garage bus tour initiative. 

The bus will offer local people of all ages free digital skills coaching and advice to help them find a job, grow in their career, grow their confidence or their business.

The double decker bus will deliver training on March 21 at Emmaus Mossley, from 9am-4:30pm.

The Google Digital Garage bus will offer free workshops and face-to-face coaching, with visitors having the option to either book in advance or simply drop by for on-the-spot help.

The training ranges from beginner to intermediate levels, meaning anyone can come and take part.

Topics covered will include: taking your first steps online, staying safe online, how to build your digital CV and personal brand online, and social media strategy.

Alison Hill, Director of Emmaus Mossley, said: “We’re very excited to welcome the Google Digital Garage bus to our Longlands Mill base in Mossley.

"The Digital Garage is a place where anyone can come and learn how to harness the power of the internet to grow their business, learn more about the internet, or develop new vocational skills.

"I’m sure this free support offered by Google will be extremely useful to individuals, local businesses and groups within in our community.”
