Big laughs guaranteed at Boarshurst Band fund-raiser

Boarshurst Silver Band set to raise the roof with their second star-studded comedy night.

Fans of Mock the Week, Live at the BBC and the Last Leg will remember Blackburn’s Tez Ilyas.

The performer will be taking a break from his Radio Four Tez talks and BBC Three’s Man like Mobeen to present his slick, smart and typically subversive new stand-up show.

Rated five stars by the Mirror, Times, Telegraph, and Sunday Times, this is not one to be missed.

Then, described as ‘Happy, original and surreal… An immensely gifted stand-up’ by The Skinny, Kai Humphries (pictured above) will be gracing the stage with his trademark infectious enthusiasm.

A lovable Geordie and self-confessed lad’s lad, Humphries will be there on the night to share his cheeky banter and subtly intelligent material.

Clayton Jones and MC Rob Riley will complete the line up at Greenfield's Off The Rails Comedy Club at The Royal George on Saturday September 1.

The event will raise money for Boarshurst Silver Band, one of the oldest established brass bands in the country and National Brass Band Champions as of 2017.

Admission is £15 or £12 in advance from www.saddleworthcomedy.co.uk with paper tickets on sale at the pub from now.
