An incredible night of musical theatre was held at St Herbert’s Church as £950 was raised for local charity, Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

From Les Miserables to Legally Blonde, the concert covered every era and every vocal range showing the versatility of the group’s talents.

Featuring the North Stars Theatre Company’s Adult Musical Theatre Group, it was a night of music and vocals with performances from all the adult musical theatre group including director of North Stars, Linzi McCoy, her husband Rob and their daughter Darcey.

There was a huge raffle which included donations from Beaverbrooks, who also donated £100 towards the final £950 total.

There was a Broadway and musical film quiz and popcorn for all.

Community Fundraiser Lillie Winterbottom presented the group with a cheque during their rehearsals for their Dick Whittington panto.

She said: “The North Stars Theatre Company are such an amazing group with great talents not only as a group but as solo performers too.

“By giving their time and talents freely, this group have made a difference to patients from their own community being cared for at Dr Kershaw’s.

"We’re already excited for next year’s concert!”

Dick Whittington at The Grange Theatre, Oldham is showing on December 20, 21 and 22.
