The Chorus UK singers in full voice at Disneyland Paris
Local singers from Chorus UK have just returned from a successful trip to Disneyland Paris where they sang during the opening weekend of the Christmas celebrations.
This is the first time that Disney have allowed singers from outside the organisation to perform at one their prestigious parks.
It is an incredible honour that Chorus UK were chosen to lead the way on this project after successfully auditioning for this fantastic opportunity.
After working with the Disney production team and amazing vocal coach, Chorus UK gave four performances over the weekend.
The choir sang with some of the Disney professionals and they were joined on stage by Micky, Minnie and Goofy for a rousing ‘Let’s Sing Christmas’ special.
The audience were very appreciative and the venture was so successful that Chorus have been invited back next year.
There is far more to being in a choir than most people think.
There are physical and mental health benefits from being part of a singing group.
Singing involves breathing exercises which can increase stamina, improve blood flow, memory and communication skills.
The Manchester branch of the choir holds rehearsals in Oldham and Cheadle, and officials are in the process of organising our new term which starts on January 15 at the Church of the Nazarene in Oldham (OL9 6ET).
There are absolutely no auditions, and it is a fun social experience.
Chorus UK are always looking for new singers to join them.
