Staff at GoCompare analysed more than 500,000 pet names in its pet insurance quote database and discovered the most popular cat and dog names across North West England and the UK. 

Based on the results, GoCompare also created the UK’s first ever searchable database of pet names which allows you to discover how popular or unique your pet's name is.

After analysing the most popular pet names in the OL postcode area, GoCompare discovered that number one is Bella, with 48 cats and dogs being named this.
