A total of £640 was raised for Dr Kershaw's Hospice as the Oldham Independent Darts, Crib and Dominoes League staged the Susan Cosgrove Charity Cup competition.
The tournament has been created to acknowledge the huge contribution Susan made to the league. She sadly passed away last December.
An annual competition will now be held, with all the proceeds going to Dr Kershaw’s, a charity Sue thought very highly of.
Sue was the darts captain of the Wheatsheaf team (now Lowerhouse 'B') for over 20 years.
For the last 10 years she took the position of Chairlady for the league.
That role requires a lot of patience, time and organisation skills, but as predicted with everything Sue did, she excelled in it.
The tournament night was a great success, helpting to raise so much money for Dr Kershaw’s.
Sue’s husband Tommy and daughter Donna (pictured above) attended and collected the Sue Cosgrave Cup, which was won by her team-mates.
Sue will be dearly missed by everyone involved in the league.
