Get on your bike for Christie's

The Christie charity is hoping this year’s Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride can become the biggest yet and is encouraging as many people as possible to sign up and raise funds for the specialist cancer centre.

Taking place for the 28th time on Sunday July 7th, around 3500 eager cyclists will be riding the 60 miles from MediacityUK to Blackpool promenade in a bid to raise as much money as possible to help improve cancer services in the region.

Last year’s event raised more than £200,000 for The Christie charity and organisers are hoping to raise even more this year.  Christie sporting events officer Josh Hughff said: “Manchester to Blackpool is one of our best supported events of the year and it’s a really fun day out, suitable for families and cycling enthusiasts alike. Whether you already cycle regularly or fancy taking up a new challenge to get fit, it’s a really fun way to get on your bike and raise funds for our cause at the same time.”
