The money was raised for a Dobcross school
A school summer fete championed by a team of dedicated mothers has raised a staggering £2,122.
The Friends of Dobcross School (FODS) is small team - Jane Bell, Louise Glendinning, Karen Hill, Kirsty Jones and Helen Taylor - working hard to raise much needed extra funds for the school.
Said Louise: “We have a merry band of amazing volunteers who help out events. Without these volunteers, our events could simply not go ahead.
“A huge thank you to everyone who came to the fete or bought a Grand Prize Draw ticket. You helped us raise an amazing £2122.
“Also special thanks to all the brilliant volunteers who helped out on the day. We couldn't have done it without you!”
Despite a downturn in weather, many of the attractions were held indoors at the school.
Highlights from the event featured a funfair including mini Miami, super jets and bungee trampolines.
There was a performance and workshop from The Incredible Plastic Street Band and Infinity Dance Two Hoots Forest School hosted a workshop.
A hog roast, BBQ and bar completed the afternoon.
