Carrying on Neil's business in his memory

Local author, Elaine Llyod is carrying on her husband's legacy by selling healing cushions and blankets.

She lost her husband Neil quite suddenly back in August 2019 after he had an aneurysm and surgery complications.

He had started the business just a short time before he died and asked Elaine to promise to carry it on once he was gone - and she's not let him down.

Elaine has been chanelling her grief into more positive ventures though.

The profits from the sales if her new book, 'I Believe in Angels', went to the British Heart Foundation and a mental health charity.

She said:

"I wrote the book to help people who have lost loved ones and people have said it's really helped to hear someone else's experience, particularly if they've lost someone to coronavirus.

"It’s only a small book but is written from my heart and soul to bring all the beautiful souls out of the dark and into the light."

It would have been Neil's 50th birthday next week so it's a poingnant time for the family to focus their efforts on making and selling the products.

She's also a Spiritual Counsellor, Life Coach and Medium and says the energy healing cushions and blankets are more effective and less hassle than wheat bags. Her family and friends that have already bought them are very impressed with how much better they feel after using them.

She added that the blankets can really help with meditation and relaxation in particular:

"They're made with wire wool and stainless steel wool so it helps to charge the energy cells up."

It's a full family affair. Her 14 year old son is currently building a website to help sell the products which have been lovingly hand-made - sometimes even throughout the night.

They're making them with a christmassy theme in time for the festive season - if you'd like to purchase one, please contact Elaine via email: elaine.lloyd@hotmail.com
