Seasons greetings come to Grotton postbox

Who placed the festive mantel on the post box appears to be a mystery.
With its hand stitched mantle, this post pox is brightening up a main road at Grotton, near Oldham to celebrate Christmas and the hard-working unsung teams who keep letters and parcels flowing.
Said local resident John Battye, who took the picture: “How very thoughtful of someone to go to all this trouble to decorate the post box at Grotton.
“A lovely gesture to be seen by hundreds of passers-by in these difficult times. “
