The Swansway Santa Patrol returns with more Christmas gifts for local charities

Date published: 09 December 2022

For many, Christmas is a time of joy and relaxation with family and friends.

But unfortunately, this isn’t the case for lots of families across the country.

Working closely with their charity partners, Swansway has returned this December with their Santa Patrol, donating Christmas gifts to those in need.

Ranging from toys to selection boxes, there are also winter essentials such as hats, gloves and scarves.

On behalf of their Greater Manchester-based dealerships Swansway Honda Bolton, Swansway Honda Stockport, Motor Match Bolton, Motor Match Stockport, Oldham Volkswagen and Volkswagen Van Centre in Oldham, Swansway Motor Group has worked alongside BACKUP North West, Bolton Lions, Endeavour Project, Fortalice, Homestart HOST, Reach out to the Community and St Peter and St Paul’s RC Primary School.

Swansway Motor Group has taken a refreshed approach to their charity efforts in 2022, with the aim to keep supporting its charity partners during the cost-of-living crisis.

Swansway Motor Group Swansway Motor Group has 24 dealerships and one accident repair centre, from Birmingham in the Midlands to Carlisle in the North.

It represents Volkswagen, Audi, Land Rover, Jaguar, SEAT, CUPRA, Peugeot, Honda and Volkswagen commercial vehicles, and it operates six motor match non-franchise locations.

The family dealer group was founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and is now run by him and his three sons; David, Peter and John.

Swansway’s donations this year have  included toys for children of all ages, food, slow cookers and Christmas Eve boxes.

Swansway Motor Group Director David Smyth added: “It has been a difficult year for many people and we hope that our Santa Patrol donations bring a smile to the faces of those who are most in need.

"It’s important to us all at Swansway that we support our charity partners all year round, but to be able to round up 2022 by putting a gift under the tree for those who would usually go without is just as important, it’s a gift from our Swansway family to the families in need.”
