Miller Homes has announced its second round of applications for its Community Fund after a successful initial launch in winter 2022.
Throughout 2023 the builder is offering £10,000 to charities and community groups in the North West of England, including the Briar View development in Oldham.
This commitment reflects Miller Homes’ ongoing dedication to supporting local communities and making a positive impact in the areas where it builds.
In September last year, Miller Homes announced the creation of its Community Fund, providing local community and charity groups the opportunity to apply for funding to support their projects.
From sponsoring local sports teams to enriching primary school outdoor education and supporting food banks in need of additional supplies, Miller Homes donated a total of £5,000 to 10 organisations across the North West.
Local groups supported by the initiative so far include All Ears MHA in Wigan, Outdoors4All in Clitheroe, Halewood FC Juniors and Padiham Foodbank.
The second round of funding has officially launched and will cover all of Miller Homes’ developments in its North West region.
Applications for the second round will close on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 after which donations between a minimum of £250 and a maximum of £2,000 will be awarded to the successful applicants who will be notified by the end of May.
Each of Miller Homes’ ten regional offices across the whole of the UK will have its own £10,000 fund, which combined will contribute £100,000 to community initiatives across the country every year.
Clare Noakes, Sales Director for Miller Homes in the North West, said: “We are thrilled to announce that the second round of our Community Funding initiative is now open for applications.
“The success of our first round, which enabled us to support numerous local charities and community groups, demonstrated the incredible impact that targeted funding can have on improving services and facilities in the areas where we build.
"We are excited to continue supporting worthy causes through our Community Funding initiative and look forward to receiving applications from the many outstanding organisations making a difference in our communities.”
