Centre of Wellbeing, Training and Culture Oldham welcomed Charlotte Woodward, Head of Training and Development at the National Centre for Domestic Violence, to the CWTC Get Connected Community Podcast.
She provided information of their services to support people regarding domestic violence and abuse.
Mohammed, CEO of CWTC, said: "Domestic violence affects one in three women and one in ten men, but it often remains hidden in silence and stigma.
"We must raise awareness of domestic violence to protect victims, break the cycle of abuse, and create a society where everyone feels safe and supported."
Charlotte added: "Too many victims believed that they couldn't come forward for help as they weren't physically hurt.
"But of course you can effectively control a person's life and never physically hurt them.
"In 2015 coercive control was made a criminal offense in their own right which sent a very clear message."
