Twenty hardy volunteers, including three youngsters, were in the village to help Street Scene Greenfield's Community Litter Pick on Saturday.
Although the sun was shining, there was a bitterly cold wind so thanks to all who braved the elements, says Steph Pelmore.
A total of 26 bags of rubbish were collected, plus an extensive range of miscellaneous items including a bicycle, a scooter, road cones, a road sign and a fire extinguisher!
All in all, it was a very worthwhile outing.
Thanks to Tesco Greg for the welcome refreshments, enjoyed afterwards at Boarshurst Band Club.
