Pennine Mencap do some fantastic work with adults who have learning difficulties
Molino Lounge in Oldham is teaming up with Pennine Mencap, a local charity from Oldham, to raise money to support adults with learning difficulties.
Chloe Buckley, from Molino Lounge, said: "This is my first year running community events for Molino Lounge.
"And I wanted to choose a small local charity to fundraise for.
Pennine Mencap do fantastic work with adults who have learning difficulties.
"Every penny we raise will support there work, and we have some exciting events planned.
"So please look out for them and hopefully join us in raising vital funds."
Chloe has demonstrated and set out a clear plan on what she wants to do within the community through these events and a bike ride was a great way of raising money and getting the staff involved.
Choosing to work with smaller more local charities means that the work that Pennine Mencap do already will be able to happen and carry on so they can keep supporting and nurturing adults with disabilities.
Chloe is also doing a good job with promoting these events on social media which will create an interactive environment and customers feel apart of the Molino Lounge team and can keep up with what they are doing.
The Chronicle recently spoke to the communications officer at Pennine Mencap and what they thought about it.
Maddison said: "It’s a great opportunity and helps shine a light on what Pennine Mencap do as a charity and this enables the people we help to do more, which is really important as the local charities should be known in the community, especially this one.
"A lot of people don’t know what Pennine Mencap are or what they do, and this is a great way of showing that support and raising awareness for this charity.
"Displaying it in Molino Lounge is crucial as this is a heavily popular place in Oldham and they will be able to talk about Pennine Mencap more and raise more awareness."
Maddison and her team at Pennine Mencap are really grateful for all the help that they are receiving at the moment and the fact Molino Lounge are supporting this local charity is impactful on the community.
