Sixth Form College awarded EdTech Demonstrator School status

Date published: 18 June 2020

Oldham Sixth Form College has been awarded EdTech Demonstrator School status.

The programme, which began last year but has been tailored recently due to the coronavirus pandemic, helps offer more support to schools and colleges with their remote learning.

OSFC will start to work closely with other schools and colleges to support them with their online learning technology, by sharing best practice whether that is via remote training sessions, recorded demonstrations or resource sharing.

Acting Principal Peter Roberts is delighted with the news.

He said: "Becoming an EdTech Demonstrator School allows Oldham Sixth Form College to use the expertise that we have developed over the last year using GSuite to support other schools and colleges with their remote learning practices.

"Our expertise has flourished since lockdown, evidenced by the high level of engagement in remote learning of our students.

"We are delighted that we are now able to build on our excellent track record in supporting others and hope that our input will improve the achievement and life chances of many young people across the country."
