PLT celebrates continued success and community recognition as three of its academies came home with awards. Oldham Sixth Form College (OSFC) and Broadfield Primary School were awarded the National Staff Choice, Staff Belonging and Career Development awards in the Secondary and Primary schools awards, respectively. These awards recognised the providers as one of the top 10 in the country where staff recommend their academy/trust as a good place to work. Alexandra Park Junior School was delighted to be awarded the Career Development award, also being recognised as within the top 10 nationally.

These awards are based upon Edurio's national staff surveys and they identify schools and trusts where employees feel confident in and a valued part of their trust community. It highlights a positive staff environment, good culture, and strong support, often leading to higher staff retention and a greater sense of belonging.

The Pinnacle Learning Trust, which includes Broadfield Primary School, OSFC, The Hathershaw College, Werneth Primary School and Alexandra Park Junior School, has a very strong reputation locally and beyond for providing an excellent education to its pupils and students, and as an exceptional employer, providing strong support to leaders, teachers and support staff. The trust also provides high-quality professional development both locally and across the country.

Pamela McIlroy, Chief Operating Officer, and recipient of the award, said:

We are absolutely delighted to receive the Edurio Trust Value Award for the third year running. This recognition reinforces our trust’s value of belonging and is testament to the collaborative work of our colleagues across all our academies to transform the lives of children and young people in our trust.

We are also immensely proud that our trust is consistently recognised at these awards, with our academies winning in the same categories each year. It is a testament to our school communities.
