Date published: 10 November 2008

HERE is a another chance for you to vote for the readers’ choice award as part of Pride in Oldham, 2008.

Votes have been coming in for those nominees whom you, the readers, think is worthy of special recognition.

The awards’ independent judges have been busy choosing the line-up of finalists for the ten other categories involved — business, professional, health worker, education worker, volunteer, group, sport administrator, sporting achievement, special achievement and school.

But the readers’ award is all down to you and those short-listed will be invited to the prestigious awards lunch — this year to be held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, on Thursday, December 4.

To take part in the readers’ choice award, study the list of all the individuals, groups and businesses nominated and featured in the pages of the Oldham Evening Chronicle during this busy year.

To cast your vote put the number of the nominee of your choice in the box provided on the coupon, along with your name, address and daytime telephone number and send it to: Pride in Oldham Readers’ Choice Award 2008, The Editor, Oldham Evening Chronicle, 172 Union Street, Oldham. OL1 1EQ.

The nominee polling the most votes will receive the special Chronicle Readers’ Choice Award. In the event of a tie, the Pride in Oldham independent judging panel will decide the winner. No photocopies accepted. Closing date for entries is Monday, November 17, 2008.

All those voting for the eventual winner will go in a draw to win an invitation for two to the awards lunch.
