Pride in Oldham: your chance to choose
Date published: 25 October 2011
ALL the nominations are in for this year’s Pride in Oldham awards and our judging panel is busy sifting through the entries to shortlist three in each of ten categories to join us for a gala dinner and presentation at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday, December 9.
That leaves one category open – the Readers’ Choice – and tonight we offer you the chance to vote for the individual or group you think most deserving of an award.
You can choose any one of the 67 who have been put forward for honours and vote with a simple telephone call or text message.
Each of the nominees has been given a unique reference number – see the list below. You can refresh your memory about them all by reading the stories in this section of the website.
The three who top the votes will be invited to the Pride dinner – and you could join them for the tenth anniversary celebration of Oldham’s most popular awards.
If you vote for the person/group who tops the Readers’ Choice poll your number will be entered into a draw to win two free tickets to the dinner, presentation and entertainment on the big night.
