AWARD-winning entrepreneurs from Oldham Sixth Form College are in the running for another accolade.
They have been nominated for a Pride in Oldham award after they were crowned Company of the Year at the Oldham and Rochdale Young Enterprise competition. Masroor Ahmed, Bethany Fielding, Danika Mistry, Mitul Mistry, Kevin Quillan, Mohammed Faysal, Abdullah Nazim and Hanifa Begum impressed judges with their cook book aimed at children.
It featured dishes from nine countries — accompanied by interesting facts — to promote different cultures. And it was a double celebration as Hanifa also won the Student of the Year award.
The team did the year-long enterprise course in their own time as part of the college’s enrichment programme.
Tutor Yayha Goga said: “They worked super hard — I’m proud of them.”
