Gill Nuttall (Melanoma UK)
‘One in a million’ Shaw woman Gill Nuttall (left) has been praised for her work setting up and running the charity Melanoma UK.
Helping thousands of people around the UK affected by the fifth most common cancer, the charity is now part of the Government’s melanoma taskforce as well as several European study groups.
Not only that but it is the only charity that supports advanced patients and their families.
Hilda Broadbent
Hilda Broadbent is a truly exceptional carer who looks after residents at Royley House the way she would look after her own family.
Often working 12 hour shifts and always ready to cover staff absences, Hilda was praised for the dedication and commitment she gives to her role and for going the extra mile.
Christie at Oldham
Going above and beyond the call of duty has seen staff at The Christie Oldham receive a nomination.
The hardworking staff are part of the local Christie facility, which opened at the Royal Oldham Hospital in 2010 and was the first in a series of satellite radiotherapy and chemotherapy centre’s linked to one of Europe’s leading cancer care centres.
Staff members were praised for their skilled and professional manner and their exceptional levels of patient care.
