A group of Oldham and Tameside Cambridge Weight Plan consultants and slimmers will be facing their fears head on this Friday, by zip lining in North Wales in support of Diabetes UK.

Having changed their lifestyle and lost weight, Lynne Helliwell and her friends are no longer allowing anything to hold them back.

Failsworth-based Lynne, a Cambridge Weight Plan consultant in the Oldham area, said: "Four years ago I lost six stone using the Cambridge Weight Plan.

"I am now a consultant with an office in Chadderton and one in Ashton.                

"I have maintained my weight since 2014 and I'm now taking part in this charity event,

"We have raised £7,000 so far.

"On Friday I'll be going down a 100mph zipwire.

"I wouldn't have done that six stone heavier, but I am now confident enough to take part in the event."
