RMDY is an Oldham rapper and musician who appears destined for big things.

His latest success has seen his music video for '2alk To Me' gain over 30k views on YouTube.

He started out as a producer, started writing songs and now has found his spot in the rap world.

RMDY told Revolution Radio he's always had an interest in music.

He said: "As a young child me and my older brother and one of my sister, we didn't see each other so when I was about 14 years old I met them again and my brother was producing dance music.

"I always wanted to do it but as soon as I met my brother it was my first means of being able to actually access software and I'm no longer just tapping drums on the side anymore I'm actually programme.

"It's crazy. Before you meet someone you're always wondering what they're like, and then when you see that the person is exactly the same as you."

RMDY is currently riding the wave of his success and seeing where it takes him.

He added: "Everybody's got a goal apart from me. I'm just taking it as far as I can.

"I'm a child that loves to make music deep down.

"If I can take it to the top of the world, I'm there, but if the wheels fall off then the wheels fall off. I'm just enjoying every step as it goes.

"I don't think you can be too greedy. The more time you spend in music you realise how saturated the market is so every day I just count it as a blessing.

"Not everybody has reached as far as I have so I'm just happy to be where I am and on the journey.

"You've got to be grateful for the things that you've got.

"My expectations were 10,000 to 15,000 so when it hit 30,000 I was screaming!

"Everyone said I should be aiming higher, but I'm like even 20,000 I was screaming."

He added that Oldhamers have been really supportive.

He added: "People that don't know me are so supportive. As soon as they hear the music they jump on board.

"I like connecting with people that don't know me so well because you see they're genuine."

RMDY writes about his life and experiences in his music.

"I take inspiration from real life and documenting it," he added.

"It's like a form of therapy.

"In recent times I've been a lot more true to myself and to life.

"It doesn't have to be something that's directly going on now.

"If I'm talking about something in a song, it's not necessarily chronological.

"I like to just stand in front of the microphone and let it fall out as opposed to sitting down and writing.

"Sometimes when you sit down and write you over think it but when you're in front of the microphone, the music is playing, you're enjoying yourself and you're comfortable things just fall out and just talk about stuff."
