Luke Nelmes will be a driving force behind Oldham boss Matt Diskin's bid to beef-up his front-row
Luke Nelmes, the Dewsbury Rams and former Halifax prop, has re-signed for newly-promoted Betfred Championship side Oldham where he had a successful League One season in 2018.
Tough-guy Nelmes (27) will be a driving force behind Oldham boss Matt Diskin's bid to beef-up his front-row.
"He's a handful for any opposing pack - just what we need," said Diskin of Nelmes, who left Oldham under a cloud last time he was there.
Said Nelmes: "It was all about issues away from rugby, but I've got my head back on now and I can't wait to get cracking at Oldham on unfinished business.
"I have a point to prove."
Nelmes was former Leeds Rhinos star Diskin's second signing from his native Yorkshire in the space of three days, following his capture - also on a one-year deal - of Rhinos' young gun Tyler Dupree, also a prop.
