Oldham Rugby League Club's Awards Night to return after Covid break

Date published: 08 October 2021

Oldham Rugby League Club's popular end-of-season Awards Night is back.

It didn't happen in 2020 because of Covid restrictions and the fact that the season was curtailed in its infancy, but the club can announce that, for the first time since the autumn of 2019, the Awards Night this year will be held at the Oldham Event Centre, Boundary Park on Saturday, October 23, 7pm for 7.30pm.

The venue forms part of the North Stand at Boundary Park and claims on its website to be "Oldham's premier venue for events, conferences, functions, weddings and exhibitions."

Tickets, priced at £15 per head and including potato-pie supper, are available NOW via the Roughyeds' website.

Players will be in attendance, as will Brian McDermott and Brendan Sheridan, who had the coaching reigns in the latter part of the 2021 season.

Stuart Littler, the former Swinton Lions boss, is Oldham's new head coach on a two-year contract covering 2022 and 2023, but Sheridan stays as his No 2 on a new one-year deal.
