Get moving with Activate

The Activate project is aimed at providing FREE cycle sessions for people in the Oldham area as well as encouraging people to attend our health walks.

There are several health walks taking place throughout Oldham and we are in the process of setting up more.

If you are interested in attending any of the health walks or then just turn up or call 0161-621-7152 for more information or to arrange cycle sessions.

Health Walks

MON 10.00 a.m Meet at Fitton Hill Community Centre

MON 11.15 am WOMEN'S ONLY HEALTH WALK

TUE 10.30 a.m Meet at Crompton Pool , Shaw

TUE 10.30 a.m Meet at Lees Library

TUE 12 .00 pm Happy Feet Meet at Failsworth Health Centre

WED 10.00 a.m Meet at the Community Room, off Hadfield Street, Hathershaw

THU 10.00 a.m Meet at Chadderton Asda cafe

FRI 10.00 a.m Meet at Bardsley Church

FRI 12.30 p.m Meet at Oldham Sports Centre cafe

SUN 3.00 p.m 'Happy Feet' Please confirm attendance by Friday 3pm 07789301636. Meet at Failsworth Volunteer Centre, 1 Ashton Rd West Cycling

SAT 11am-1pm Cycle session for beginners. Meet at Block 4, Southlink Business Park.

Session leaders have bikes for all ages and abilities. 

Please call to pre-book to avoid disappointment.

The short definition of a health walk is: "a purposeful, brisk walk undertaken on a regular basis" and it can include any walk which is specifically designed and carried out for the purpose of improving an individual's health.
