WITH a gritty determination to succeed and a mammoth effort in the gym John Carhart is pulling out all the stops to lose 10lbs in 10 weeks.

He signed up for the Get Moving To Health programme to lose weight and get fit but he’s gained a lot more along the way.

John, who works for Oldham Community Leisure, is part of the leading Heavy Mob team and has impressed his team mates with his dedication to the cause.

He’s battled his way through Wii Fit, circuits, fit ball and much more to shed an impressive 11lbs so far and his confidence is growing all the time.

John’s top tips for losing weight the sensible way are cutting down on snacks and exercising more.

He is loving the results of his weight loss and is even starting to enjoy his keep-fit regime — especially the treadmill.

John is definitely going to keep up the good work once the 10 weeks are up and believes anyone can lose weight if they set their mind to it.

The support of family and friends is helping John along the way but he says he is not missing any of his favourite foods as he believes everything in moderation is the key to success.
