Crèche Time not Rest Time!

Fay Preston is one of the many crèche workers here at Werneth Park.
Fay described Werneth Park as “perfect for children, with big rooms and lift facilities for parents with pushchairs”. She added that having a beautiful park on your doorstep is a huge advantage. Not only is there plenty of space to explore but there is a play area as well.
Fay enjoys her job, as she is able to see children developing and growing up which is rewarding for her.
There is a friendly atmosphere at the crèche with equal opportunities for everyone. The crèche workers are all highly experienced and trained at their job. Today, workers need qualifications, either NVQ level 2 or 3 and a current CRB certificate to work here. This ensures that all crèche workers can be trusted to do their jobs well.
Another experienced crèche worker is Safia Akbor. She has worked in the building for over 9 years and is appreciated by many parents. She has children of her own and has been a part of Lifelong Learning for over 20 years. She quotes, “Learners will benefit in many ways by attending classes and courses here and their children who are placed in the crèche will get used to different faces. This will help them socially and help get them ready for school.”
