Clint to the Rescue!
Date published: 04 April 2011
Family man Clint Buckley (38), who has three children, has been working here at Werneth Park for four years. He is one of the caretakers, security guard and general star who looks after the building. His colleague Ruth Crossley describes him as a ‘quiet and witty I.T. Whiz!’
Having lived in Oldham all his life, Clint has fond memories of the Werneth Park of yesteryears. He remembers when the centre was a museum/ educational centre but not with the same opportunities for real life learning on offer here today. ‘I love my job,’ says Clint, ‘ the centre is a brilliant place to work- the people and the community are fantastic’. As such, Clint can often be found serving the learners in the cafeteria- but they’re not complaining! Clint is such a kind soul, ‘always helping people out if they have a problem’. Is he tired after all that running about? ‘Nope’, he says, ‘I’m just glad to be here’- Clint to the Rescue!
