Old Bell looks to ring changes

THE Old Bell in Delph is aiming to expand with a three-storey side extension to provide extra room for dining on the ground floor and more bedrooms upstairs.

Changes could also be afoot on land at New Year’s Bridge Reservoir on the A640 Huddersfield Road in Denshaw. A planning permission application for the construction of a new spilway chute and basin has been submitted to Oldham Council.

Planning permission is also being sought to build a detached cottage in Denshaw. If granted, the home would be built on land at the rear of the former Black Horse Inn on Oldham Road.
