AN underwater hockey team from Tameside, which renamed itself Greenfield, finished fourth at a national tournament in Devon. The team was sponsored by the Greenfield Real Ale Brewery and took a barrel of home brew for the post-competition beer festival.

HELP out the Springhead Congregational Church at a fund-raising jumble sale on Friday, September 23. The bargain hunting will start from 7pm at the Radcliffe Street church, with admission 20p.
