Silent auction

GREENFIELD Methodist Church stages a silent auction tonight in aid of church funds. Put in a bid at the event from 7pm, with £2 entry including a cup of tea.
AN evening of jazz in Lees tomorrow will help raise cash for the Breakout Project, a charity set up to aid the street children of Mumbai, in India. It takes place at St Edward’s Parish Hall, Spring Lane, from 7pm. Entry is £10, with food.
TINY tots can strut their stuff at the children’s centre at Holy Trinity Primary School, Dobcross, on Monday, from 2-3pm. The sessions, for two to five yearolds, are free.
THE Diggle Diamonds meet for a coffee and home-made cakes at the Hanging Gate pub tomorrow, from 10.30am. Join the group for a cuppa and a chat. 50p admission.
TEENS can climb aboard the Oldham Youth Bus which will be in Athens Way in Lees next on Wednesday. Computer consoles, activities and workshops will be on offer for 11-19-year-olds from 7-9pm.
AN auction at Greenfield Conservative Club tomorrow will boost the restoration fund for St Mary’s Church. Admission is 50p, with the event starting at 2pm.
THE Civic Hall in Uppermill will be turned into a bustling flea market on Sunday in aid of St Anne’s Church in Lydgate. Admission is 50p, 30p for concessions, from 10am-4pm.
A HALLOWE’EN themed event for parents and pre-school tots will be staged at the Brownhill Countryside Centre on Thursday, from 10.30am to 12.20pm. For youngsters aged one to five, outdoor activities will be the order of the day for just £2.
