SADDLEWORTH Male Voice Choir’s annual performance of Handel’s Messiah will be staged at Uppermill Civic Hall tomorrow.
Over 30 members of the orize-winning choir will join a 48-strong ladies chorus for the performance from 7pm.

GET in the mood for Christmas with a concert at Delph Band Club on Sunday. Entry is free at the Lawton Square Band Club, starting at 8pm.
THE White Hart in Lydgate will be transformed into a festive village during a coffee morning tomorrow from 10.30am. Lydgate Band will entertain, while a tombola and a visit from Santa is sure to bolster the Christmas spirit. Entry is £1 for adults and £3 for children (including present) in aid of the Lydgate Band Contest.
THE Choir of St Chad’s Church in Uppermill will perform festive favourites during a moving carol service on Sunday. The event gets under way at the church at 3pm.
A SECRET Santa Christmas quiz will be staged at Springhead Liberal Club on Tuesday on behalf of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and the Oldham Multiple Sclerosis Society. A raffle and stand-up bingo should help raise a laugh on the night at the club from 8.30pm, with entry £3 per person.
ENJOY a knees-up during a Christmas party at the George Lawton Hall in Mossley on Tuesday, hosted by Mossley Action For The Elderly. The shindig, for Mossley’s over-60s, will take place from 2-4.45pm, with a buffet and entertainment. Tickets available from Muriel Buckley on 01457-834 003.
