STUCK with a wilting tree after the festive celebrations? A recycling drop-off point for real trees is now available at Churchill playing fields in Greenfield. The designated area will be open until Friday, January 13.
A NIGHT of brass music will raise money for injured servicemen’s charity Help For Heroes. Starting from 8pm at the Civic Hall in Uppermill, the concert on Saturday, January 7 will star the Navigation Inn brass band. Tickets from Uppermill Post Office or by calling 07976-165-815.
Uppermill library will reopen on Tuesday. Greenfield library will open its doors the following day.
ENJOY a steaming hot mug of coffee at a fundraising morning in Uppermill. Money will be raised for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice at the event at St Chad Parish Centre on Saturday, January 7, 10am-noon. Admission is £1 including coffee and a cake.
