THE musical Jones family make their return to Saddleworth tomorrow with a concert at St Anne’s Church in Lydgate from 7pm. Tickets to see the group, who played at last year’s festival of the arts, are £5 including wine and nibbles and will raise money for Love Lydgate.

INDULGE in a taste of Spain with a charity wine and tapas night at the Three Crowns pub in Scouthead on Tuesday, January 31. The fundraising night will begin at 7.30pm in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appeal and tickets can be bought from Mr Hicks on 0161-624-1766.
MEET with the Saddleworth Historical Society for a special talk about Ancient North Africa. Jim Carr will give the presentation at Saddleworth Museum in Uppermill at 7.30pm on Wednesday.
THE Royal Oldham Hospital League of Friends is seeking support for its quest to replace the outdated Royal Rover minibus which runs in the hospital grounds. Members will man a fundraising stall at the flea market in Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday, January 29. All proceeds to the cause.
Thursday will see historian and author Keith Warrender deliver a fascinating talk entitled “Manchester Oddities” to the Saddleworth Civic Trust. All are welcome to the talk at Saddleworth Museum on Thursday from 7.30pm.
OLDHAM East and Saddleworth Conservative Association will raise funds during a flea market at the civic hall in Uppermill on Sunday, January 29. Admission is 50p for adults at the event from 10am-4pm, with stalls available to book on 01457-873-518.
