ENJOY a coffee morning at the Delph Methodists from 10am tomorrow. The event will raise money for the charities chosen by the chairman of the Saddleworth Parish Council
A CHARITY quiz and raffle will raise cash for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and the Oldham MS Society on Tuesday. The event will be staged at Springhead Liberal Club from 7.30pm, with entry £3.

LEEDS-BASED storyteller Matthew Bellwood will host literary classics and read his own material at Lees Library from 6-7pm on Tuesday. Free entry.

NEW members are being welcomed to the next meeting of the Saddleworth Townswomen’s Guild. Meet the members at the Uppermill Methodist Centre at 2pm on Wednesday.

THE Home Watch group and community police will visit Lees Library on Wednesday, 1-2pm. Residents can get advice and raise issues during the drop-in session.

NEWS and views will be aired at the meeting of the Greenfield and Grasscroft Residents Association on Thursday. Oldham Council’s head of planning will host a question and answer session at the Methodist Chapel in Chew Valley Road from 7.30pm.

A FAIRTRADE afternoon at Friezland Primary School next Friday will see tea, coffee, home-made cakes and Fairtrade stalls on offer from 2pm. There will be a raffle, the school choir will perform, and the money raised will go to the charity For the Love of Learning in the Gambia.



A PLANNING application has been lodged to convert the Brownhill Bridge Mill in Dobcross into a home. Plans include two-storey extensions, a single story car port and garage and alterations to the existing mill.
