Coffee will be served at an Uppermill Methodist Church concert tomorrow from 11am.



Pianist Duncan Glenday will perform a popular programme including Beethoven’s “Pathetique”. Proceeds will be donated to the Christie Hospital.



PUT a spring in your step with a concert by Delph Band at the Denshaw Village Hall tomorrow. A raffle, licensed bar and brass music will make for a knockout evening from 7.30pm, with £5 entry in aid of the Denshaw Whit Friday funds.



YOUNGSTERS can explore the wonders of science during a special event at Lees Library on Thursday, March 15, from 4-5.30pm. “Mad Science — Our World In Motion”, will help children discover the science behind sport and movement on Earth.



MEMBERS of Saddleworth Historical Society will host the Bernard Barnes Memorial Lecture on Thursday, March 15. Taking place at Saddleworth Museum from 7.30pm, Brian Grimsditch will present the talk entitled “Buckton Castle: Recent Investigations and Interpretations”



A BUSTLING Easter Craft Festival will be staged by the Saddleworth Creative Network at the civic hall in Uppermill tomorrow. The free event will include vintage tea, a variety of demonstrations and workshops, a jazz singer and Easter-themed competitions on offer for children. Join in the fun from 10am - 4pm.



LADIES are invited to take time out for lunch to help raise money for the Saddleworth Parish Council chairman’s charities. Tickets for the event, at the civic hall in Uppermill on Tuesday, are available on 0161-626-7625.



SADDLEWORTH Floral Art Society will host a demonstration entitled “Let Joy Be Undefined” led by Arthur McDonald at the Lee Street Centre, Uppermill, from 7.30pm on Tuesday.
