SOPRANO Eleanor Garside, from the Royal National College of Music, will perform arias by Mozart and Puccini with local concert pianist Duncan Glenday tomorrow. The pair will perform together as part of the Uppermill Methodist church coffee concerts series, from 11am.


BOOK now to see “The Wedding Singer” by the Mossley Amateur and Operatic Dramatic Society at the George Lawton Hall. The production will run from Monday to Friday, April 20, starting at 7.30pm, and Saturday, April 21, starting at 2.15pm. Tickets are £8-12 and can be bought from Sue Fletcher on 0161-633-3062.


THE Greenfield and Grasscroft Residents’ Association (GGRA) will see locals discuss village news and views at the Methodist Chapel, Chew Valley Road, on Thursday. Dave Sanderson, of the Woodland Trust, will also give a talk on the night from 7.30pm.


THE Lees and Hey Homewatch Association meets at Lees Library on Wednesday, April 25, at 7.30pm.


ENJOY a breakfast while browsing the web for free at the Springhead Community Centre tomorrow from 10am-noon. The community group recently took over the running of the centre in Ashes lane.


A JUMBLE sale will raise cash for charities chosen by the chair of the Saddleworth Parish Council at the Civic Hall in Uppermill on Wednesday. Admission is 50p including tea and biscuits from 6pm.


WITNESS the force of the Saddleworth Male Voice Choir at its annual St George’s Day concert on Saturday, April 21.
